The central reliquary monument, or chöten (mchod rten, Sanskrit stūpa), of the Western Gate of Lhasa, Bargo Kakling (bar sgo bkag gling), seen from the east (that is, from inside the gate). Riders and people on foot pass through the gateway under the monument, heading west out of Lhasa.
