A northeast-facing view of the Potala and Chakpori (lcags po ri), taken from a distance along the south bank of the Kyichu River (skyid chu). The stonework flood defences that line the banks of the river are visible to the left along the north shore. The high ridges that line the east side of the entrance to Dodé (dog bde)Valley can be seen in the background. Forested parkland stretches from the left of the image to Chakpori, along the north side of the river.
